Research-Backed,
Experience-Near
At the Center for Reflective Intelligence, we study how people develop purpose, deepen belonging, and grow together through reflection. Our research is designed to inform real decisions in real communities.
We translate complex questions into accessible tools, so that schools, organizations, and communities can build cultures where learning is meaningful, relationships are strong, and change is sustainable.
What We Study
We focus on four interconnected domains that help people reflect more deeply, act more intentionally, and grow more meaningfully.
Reflective Intelligence
We study how people connect the dots between meaningful futures, lived experiences of the past, and intentional actions in the present—both individually and across diverse community contexts.
Belonging and Identity
We study how relationships and environments shape who we are and what we internalize about ourselves. We study the foundations of psychological safety, and connectedness and how belonging improves learning and well-being.
Purpose Development
We study how people make sense of what matters and move toward it with intention. We study how purpose develops through reflection, and is shaped by identity, context, and community.
Formation Science
We study how structured reflection practices like journaling, dialogue, and mentoring support relational depth and shared purpose across educational and organizational systems. Our work explores how reflection helps build cultures of care and collective flourishing.
